Sue Stoltzfus

President, Lancaster County Democratic Women’s Association

I have two beautiful daughters, became a single mother when my two girls were 9 and 12. Worked 2-3 jobs to make sure my daughters had food on the table and clothes on their backs. I am a very proud Nana of three beautiful grandchildren, two Granddaughters 15 & 8 and Grandson 13.

I have been mentoring my 15 year old granddaughter to become involved in the political process and she is currently on the team Model UN at her High School and working as an intern for Christina Hartman candidate for Congress.

Community service is important part of my life. I served as a Make-A-Wish volunteer and wish granter. Make-A-Wish grants the wishes of children with life threatening medical conditions. A wish granter interviews families with terminally ill children that have been qualified for a wish and takes the information to the Make-A-Wish HQ in Lancaster to grant the wishes.

I am the President of the Lancaster County Democratic Women’s Association. As President my goals are to make a difference now and for the next generation, to educate and encourage women to become involved in the political system run for office and get elected.

I served on the PFDW board from 2007-2015 as Corresponding Secretary, Sixth VP and First VP. In 2007 the organization had no working website at that time so I researched the organization and worked on creating the website and maintaining. I also worked on getting the organization involved with social media. 2012 I was nominated by PFDW Clubs and Board members and received the “Woman of the Year” award from Pennsylvania Federation of Democratic Women. The mission of PFDW was to promote the appointment and election of Democratic Women to responsible positions.

I am currently serving in my second term on the PA Democratic State Committee serving Lancaster County.

I believe in teamwork and each member is a vital part of the team.
